Conservatives Outnumber Liberals in 39 States

email Email

A new Gallup Poll offers encouragement and challenges for Republicans. In the national survey, Americans who describe themselves as “conservatives” still outnumber self-defined “liberals” by significant margins—35 percent to 26. What’s more, in 39 of the 50 states, conservatives top the other side decisively. In only nine states—all of them on the coasts—do liberals enjoy an advantage.

With such lop-sided recent results, it’s hard to imagine that the November elections would even be close, or how Obama, Clinton and other liberals could even come close to the presidency.  The answer is that many Americans who call themselves conservative feel so disgusted by petty squabbles and dubious personalities in our politics that they don’t even bother to vote.

It also explains the Democratic scandal-mania: liberals like concentrating on trashing Trump’s personality rather than responding to conservative policies that remain broadly popular.

Let's face it – Most Americans don't know what the terms conservative, liberal, communist, socialist, fascist, capitalist, Christian, etc, etc, etc even mean. So these types of surveys are almost completely useless. Most conservatives don't even know what conservative means. Thanks publik schoolz.

But you know what? I have the prescription to make this country a better place. (1) eliminate social security, especially that horrible disability benefit. (2) eliminate Medicare and Medicaid. (3) stop all immigration both legal and illegal. (4) if anybody is found to have "dual citizenship" deport them immediately and strip their American citizenship. (5) end public schools. (6) make work a requirement to receive any type of welfare. (7) get the US out of the UN (8) make English the official language of this country and no government business can be conducted in any other language unless it is related to foreign policy.

I can't tell if serious or someone from the left trolling people on the right who actually believe the positions you listed off. That's how far gone the right wing peanut gallery has become.

No Michael, it is not “petty squabbles and dubious personalities “ that cause Republicans not to vote Republican—your observation is totally wrong. The reason Trump is President is because he’s truthful, he can be trusted unlike most of the old guard GOP. We actually have a President who has ZERO strings attached to him and loves America and the amazing we have done for world instead of trying to fundamentally change into a Western European hellhole of terrorist sanctuaries.
Republicans finally got a Republican that didn’t lie to them and someone who has as his top priority NOT to make a multimillion dollar foundation for himself with American tax dollar kickbacks from mainly Middle Eastern countries.

"The reason Trump is President is because he’s truthful"

Every once in awhile, one of you conservatives says something so ridiculous, I can't do anything but smile and laugh. Trump could give lucifer himself a run for his money when it comes to lies, he's the father of lies, and you said that statement right there about how Truthful he is.

It's like seeing someone walk up to the back of an hippo right after it let loose, and comment about how lovely the smell is. The scale of just how differently we perceive the world and reality itself is so incalculably vast that words are not enough to describe the chasm between us.

You kind of remind me of this guy back in the day from American Idol

After he screeched his way through that song, he paused to take in how the judges were receiving his mellifluous voice… when no reaction came, he must have thought internally NAILED IT !!!!!!!! and continued to sing and hit a note so shrill and off that even he was aware of the disaster.

I think of your class of Trump voter/supporter, like someone who heard that performance and thought, you're KILLING IT dude.

I can only describe what your reaction is similar too, it's the closest I can get with the limitations of language.

        Poor Ty,
You’re hallucinating again. Your incoherent sentence structure screams opioid problems. Trump is going to fix that for you miscreants too; he will stop the drug trafficking, put you in rehab for a couple of years and find you a nice Assisted Living facility where you can quietly spend the rest of your days.

I saw an xfiles episode that talked about the Trumpster effect on how we are looked upon by alien life.

Does anyone believe that it’s a coincidence, that leftists (like Ty), who advocate for illegal immigration are the very same people, who oppose voter ID?

Isn’t it funny how those 2 concepts are joined at the hip?

    • Ty  •  Mar 10, 2018 at 12:45 am

I do not advocate for illegal immigration, and do not oppose voter ID. But on the latter, I'd want strings to ensure that requiring voter ID did not have the expected effect of dropping voter eligibility for democratic voters. If the intent on your side is MERELY to enforce accurate identity while voting and NOT to diminish the numbers of democrats voting, then these adjustments around the edges as a condition for voter ID ought not be a problem. IF, however, it is primarily about finding tweaks to voting requirements that hit democratic voters harder and tilt the scales to republicans, then we have problems.

      • Rizzo  •  Mar 10, 2018 at 9:13 am

Voter ID would ABSOLUTELY NOT be designed to disenfranchise Democrat voters. It is to ensure VOTER INTEGRITY. Now, it’s very possible and maybe even probable that it will impact Democrat voters more heavily, but that’s only because Democrats tend to have a much higher amount of stoopid-people. Honestly, if they can’t figure it out, do we really want them voting and determining the future of America?

You may not directly advocate for illegal immigration, but when you and your democrat party, fails to enforce immigration law, opposes border-security and actively seeks to undermine federal immigration law with so-called sanctuary cities… That is tantamount to advocacy for illegal immigration.

There is NO TAP-DANCING around that FACT!

      • Rizzo  •  Mar 12, 2018 at 5:34 pm

Here is yet another direct consequence to giving preferential treatment to illegal immigrants over US citizens and creating Sanctuary Cities for ABSOLUTE LAWLESSNESS!

I wonder how Ty, and like-minded morons would feel, if America was over-run by illegal immigrants from Russia.
You know how PARANOID these lunatics are about Russia.
Imagine America… Russians illegally coming to America, no voter-ID and they are participating in our elections. Would these same MORONIC LIB-TARDS be supporting that? Would they be colluding with foreign interests?
Or, would they be demanding they not be allowed to vote and to deport them?
