Obama Needs French Lessons

email Email

The President of France has been reeling from a dysfunctional economy, 20 percent approval ratings, and lurid reports of his extra marital adventures.

But Francois Hollande has also drawn praise from other European leaders and the French business community for a bid to re-boot his administration. In a shocking speech, he called for corporate tax cuts, reduced government spending, and more business-friendly attitudes from government. Hollande campaigned for a 75 percent tax rate and more activist government, but is ready to change course after three years of unemployment near 11 percent.

If life-long socialist Hollande can abandon his failed ideas, why can’t President Obama follow his example? If he adapted the Hollande program and lowered taxes on business, reduced spending, and offered a friendlier approach to free markets—imagine what those changes might do for our struggling economy.

I think he sees no problem. He honestly thinks he has made things better. Anyone that disputes that, well, they’re just against him for some reason or other. Everything is about him. In that regard, he is extremely close-minded and sees no need to seek counsel from President Hollande. I hope I’m wrong, and he is secretly converting as I type. I did it. Medved did it. Lots of people have become conservative due to their life experience. Wouldn’t that be a hoot!

President Obama is a failed president. Nothing he has done has really been good for America, except perhaps, getting Osama Bin Laden. Even then, it was the Navy seals that did the actual killing. The only thing that I agree with that he has said is that marijuana is no more dangerous than marijuana. Pot should be legal like tobacco and alcohol. But, yes, it would be nice if he learned from the French president. However, Washington is filled with leftist filth that want less freedom for Americans and more government control over us, the people. I feel that our country is doomed unless the conservatives (Tea Party) can get in control of the runaway government. They say that they want less government, less taxes, and more freedom. Amen! I am all for it, but let me grow and smoke pot if I want to, okay? Otherwise, I may have to vote democrat, which I do not want to do.

Hi Alfonso, I am worried that you will get hooked on more additive drugs and that will ruin your life. I look at lots of kids living on the streets and my guess is that drug addiction has a lot to do with it. President Obama is more of a socialist than Hollande so don’t expect Obama to change course anytime soon.

When President Obama was campaigning he had the use of two monitors to read from. Is it no wonder that he can not speak without monitors or notes or anything. He is a bumbling incompetent unskilled and not athletic. He is a sad little man riding along on a bicycle thinking wow do I look cool.
    While Rome burns he fiddles..
