The Overhyped “Dangerous Divisions”

email Email

Following the horrible events in Charlottesville, Virginia, the public seems deeply alarmed at the dangerous divisions in the country. But what are the substantive issues that actually divide the country?

When it comes to hate festivals staged by neo-Nazis and the KKK, there’s virtually no disagreement: nearly every American, left or right, and certainly including President Trump, strongly condemns the racist extremism of such fringe groups. But all sides also agree they have a right to rally if they avoid encouraging or practicing violence.

Meanwhile, overwhelming majorities of Americans support more economic growth, tax reform that lowers rates, better border security, health care reform that maximizes choice and slows the rise in premiums, a stronger military and a cautious foreign policy.

While the media love to dramatize bitter feuds over the president’s personality, on more substantive questions of policy, Republicans and Democrats, conservatives and leftists, are hardly as polarized as the most hysterical voices in the media love to suggest.

There is only ONE problem – the Democrat Party. Unfortunately they never change their stripes and Republicans never change giving up to their totalitarian pressure because as the GOP always says "….. we will look bad." The GOP always looks bad to republican voters.

How's that healthcare reform coming Jim? Democrats not in control in either house of congress, so it should be smooth sailing right? After all, we all know the only discord and strife and bulwark to achieving nirvana and a better path for the nation is those pesky DEMOCRATS, the OTHER, THEM, THOSE, ANYONE but ME, anyone but US !!!!!!!

God, I swear, conservatives keep on playing the helpless victim. Agentless willows blowing in the winds of a liberal world order.

Tie – When did you start believing in God? Also the origin of the short phrase "Agentless willows" finds Webster's and myself a bit perplexed? Your soaring intellect is off the charts obviously. So the new Liberal World Order is blowing wind? Please translate.

The idea is that conservatives hold most political power in the nation and can't govern. Conservatives, like yourself, will shift the onus towards the democratic party and liberals, that are NOT in power. You have essentially stripped the agency and power of action from your own political dominance, and attempt to shift any policy failures onto us.

Apparently, we are the only adults in the room, we are the only ones that can bear the burdens of responsibility. It's a wonderful trick of the conservative mind. When liberals are in power, it's all our fault if things are not going right, and if we are out of power, it's all our fault things are not going right. We typically have that type of standard when talking about the relationship of the behavior of children in the care of adults. The child acts out we blame the parents. We grade children on a curve because we do not always hold them to the same standards of adults that have had more time and experience to control their behavior and take the reigns of responsibility.

It seems modern conservatism years to become children again, with Trump leading the way for too many. It's Senator X, Y, Z, the media, my own attourney general, illegals, other other other, never me, never us.
