Hillary Clinton deserves criticism for many aspects of her candidacy, including her push to expand government’s role in our lives and to pull back from America’s leadership in the world. She’s also open to ethical questions over her reckless use of a secret e-mail account, dubious donations received by the Clinton Foundation, huge speaking fees from Wall Street and much more. But it makes no sense for Republicans to attack her marriage.

There’s no doubt that Bill Clinton has been an imperfect husband, but dragging out these ancient scandals will only work to strengthen Hillary. Bill’s popularity actually peaked during the impeachment crisis, while Hillary won sympathy and support for her Senate race by standing by her man.

Somehow, the Clintons have managed to raise an achieving, well-adjusted daughter and to keep a troubled marriage together for 41 years. Why attack them for the one achievement that conservatives should be most inclined to respect?

    Michael,
You are acting as if one person in the country cares about their troubled marriage! They are corrupt sleaze bags and she belongs in prison along side Obama. But she will be coronat

Sorry, acid reflux thinking the words "Hillary" and "Obama" together on the same day.
Anyway she will be coronated in January and half the country will praise her and you will chide your listeners not to speakly poorly about her actions because it will make republicans look bad. What will the GOP good ole boys club talk about then after losing the Senate too? Oh, that's right, they will say nothing too because they are feckless cowards.

Michael. You must know that their marriage is a scam, totally fraudulent. Bill has never ceased to be a serial adulterer and Hillary's own escapades are well known.

Conservatives don't respect the Clintons or their marriage, which is a sham and an arrangement only for political convenience. Conservatives would respect the Clintons' marriage only if they have been willfully blind for the past 25 years.

I agree with you most of the time but here is one where I do not. The marriage you reference is one solely based on convenience. There was no divorce when Bill was president because Hillary had a quid pro quo for her designs on 1600 Pennslyvannia. Bill's multiple indiscretions date back to the Arkansas
as does her shady business dealings as Arkansas' First "Lady". Cheleaea
runs the Clinton Foundation which is awash in grafted money and shakedowns
of foreign governments and corporations. As a conservative there is
nothing for me to cheer the Clintons on as for everything they do is aimed
at lining their pockets with money and power.

Boy what ignorance Mike, everyone with a brain knows all about Hillary, try listening to Larry Nichols but then I am sure you are playing dumn already know.she should have been in prison years ago but the GOP are in partnership with the Dems have done nothing.
You can not pick and chose what parts of the constitution to uphold and call yourself a conservative, you are 100% not and most of us never get any reply from you and have no way to call in.to bad you bailed on the Lincoln day dinner here in Kitsap co.no guts.hide behind your mic. On the radio on your elite high horse very good at inverting others words.
I call you out to show up here at the next meeting in Kitsap co.

I think the issue is not the durability or the genuineness of their marriage. The issue is whether Bill Clinton has and perhaps still is engaging in predatory sexual conduct and has Hillary been aiding and abetting it in ways, including smearing his victims. Then there's the 'unprecedented partnership' and their dealings relating to The Clinton Foundation. The general narrative really comes down to asking the American people if they want the same old Clinton crapola on steroids for the next four years.

Mr. Medved, Your liberal roots show up more and more lately, like a bleach-blonde whose last bleaching was eight weeks ago.
Please re-read Barbara Olson's (R.I.P.) "Hell To Pay," and "The Final Days," about the temperament, abuses of power, frauds, graft, corruption and scandals the Clintonistas perpetuated against the American taxpayers and people. Theirs is less a marriage than a business partnership, evidenced by their constant habit of staying away from each other, unless an important campaign photo-op is scheduled. If standing by her man means dreaming up that delusional "vast right wing conspiracy" line, then she must be either pitied as a sick, sad, mental case, or despised as a cold, calculating, craven liar. Any way you lok at it, she's Incapable of meeting the demands of the presidency, especially in these fragile fiscal times ($20T debt) these dangerous days of jihad (ISIS, Al Qeada, Hamas, Boko Haram, etc.) rampant unrest (Furguson, Baltimore, Detroit, Chicago, etc.), and this era of morally bankrupt behavior (abortion, homosexuality, sex-changing, gambling, drug legalization / smuggling, jury nullification, pornography, vulgarity, gangs, cartels, human trafficking, illegal immigration, etc.). ANY criticism of the Clinton's campaign is not enough.
The Clintons are, clearly, the most reprehensible pair of politicians since Chicago's Mayor (Boss) Daly and New Yorks Tammany Hall. Oh yes, let's not forget the architect of the financial meltdown of 2008, Rep.-D Barney (boy toy) Frank, another paragon of liberal "virtues."
Stop wasting our time with your notions of "playing nice" with the Hill-Billies," when their actions are so vile and ruthless. Mitt Romney's simp smile said it all – fight or die – grin and grab your ankles.

Richard, I really enjoyed your comments. I get the impression Michael thinks we angry republicans out here are a few loud mouths who will cave in and vote in Nov. for an establishment candidate the delegates choose. He literally believes Obama is a good person who loves his country and was "misled and duped" by un-named democrat operatives in the donkey party. Michael doesn't understand why we are angry or worried about the end of the Republic because Barach has got the economy back on its feet and people are employed again and getting raises, etc., blah, blah blah. He should be Obama's Press Secretary.
I don't know Mike's politics anymore; he's apparently given in to the silent old guard GOP bosses that he constantly defends. The Bosses already know who they will nominate after the first ballot. The corruption is sickening and frankly boring. We are all now National Socialists, as Michael once said after BO's first election win, "the people have spoken." Why does one person get to be a dictator or a dict just because he won an election? So many many many questions Michael will never answer. They must be very stupid questions from we imbecilic voters out here who don't understand the political nuances of the intellectuals in the GOP.

      • Jim Bird  •  Apr 17, 2016 at 2:13 am

Hillary and Barach are THE two most disgusting people America has ever produced. How do Marxists get elected to the highest office in the land? Does anyone agree with Michael that Fascism is NOT that big of a deal? That "we are better off than our grandparents and other countries in the world" and that "Obama loves America" and "don't get angry, be happy" or whatever else his appeasement topic of the day is? You gave up a long time ago Michael. I keep waiting for the old Michael to show up again but that ain't gonna happen. America has never been this sick. Democrats will flood the key precincts in the key states again with the ACORN-type folks stuffing ballot boxes and buses full of illegals, 100% paid for by our tax dollars. Michael and the establishment cowards will say zero-zip-nada about it. They do nothing about it. But the pundits, for the next year, will dissect every syllable the Republican candidate uttered to prove why he lost. It's all a phony story told by lieing cowards. The Republican Party NEVER, F___ING NEVER CHANGES TACTICS OR HAVE A PLAN TO DO ANYTHING GODDAMN THING THAT WOULD WIN AN ELECTION.
Michael, be sure to tell your GOP bosses not to blame themselves for another loss, the end of the Party, blood in the streets, small stuff like that. Tell them instead to be happy, be silent, be chuckling rich happy warriors behind closed doors doing the people's work for the country and any other bunches of lies they want to tell or sell or, oh well, tell them to go to …….

Well said. I have always thought she should be respected in that regard.

  10. Dallas Kipp  •  Apr 17, 2016 at 6:08 pm

Your right on. I have been telling my fellow Republicans to do exactly what you are saying. By attacking Bill your only encouraging sympathy for Hillary and there are people who do vote for someone because they feel sorry for that person. Don't fall into the media trap when they bring up Bill's problems. Stay focus on the November election. We must win!

  11. John D. Fiat  •  Apr 26, 2016 at 11:14 pm

I say the complete opposite! Hillary is trying to become POTUS, so what her husband did when he was POTUS (and governor of Arkansas) is absolutely, positively, game (and being that he is a major crook and murderer, it must be brought up!). Don't you think that she was privy to some pretty major insider stuff when Bill was in office? (and saying nothing during these scandals and aiding in the coverups makes her guilty of conspiracy and treason against our Republic) Let's hit her hard on Whitewater (including it's subsequent murders) and the MENA scandal. What's the MENA scandal. Oh, just a little thing about William Jefferson Clinton getting paid to allow massive amounts of illegal drugs & arms to move through a little airport in Mena, Arkansas (while he was governor there). And it's also part of something much bigger that even Deadhead Medved may have heard of. Does Iran Contra ring any bells?

It is funny to see guidance on how to execute a campaign or attack an opponent from a person who has been wrong for the majority of the campaign. If Mr. Medved were advising a campaign, it would have went the way of the Dodo just like Bush, Cruz, or Walker. I can't tell you how often he suggested that Trump was making a mistake and look who is currently top of the heap. Mr. Medved should just sit by and watch the events of the day because he can no longer predict their impact

Right now I care less about your political opinions, and more about your health. How are you getting along?
