Trump’s Best Move…So Far

email Email

During his first two weeks, President Donald Trump has been moving ahead like an unstoppable express train, even though he hasn’t always stayed on track. (Did we really need diplomatic blow-ups with Australia and Mexico, or the mishandling of an incoherent and ineffective “travel ban”?) But with all the storm and stress,  one move by the new chief executive counts as a gigantic triumph of historical proportions: the appointment of Judge Neil Gorsuch to the United States Supreme Court:

One of the things that I think businesspeople do a lot of is value action over perfection. I agree the exec order on the geography ban was not perfect…but the fixes needed to adjust was fast and efficient…just like we do so often in a business environment. In the business world when its time for change, people who get off on making mountains out of molehills tend to lose their influence, if not their jobs.

My preference right now is for everyone to get out of the Monday morning quarter back chair and get more confidence that ultimately they are in charge. They have the final say with their vote.

If what President Trump is doing is so awful, get ready to vote him out of office by letting him have his way and fall on his face with his poor outcomes. This business of obstruction before the actual results are unknown is getting old fast….and does nothing to influence anyone.

From my perch, it feels like a "business" mindset is finally being given a chance to see what it can do, and I personally feel very good about being lead by a man/person of action, not talk and give him a lot of room to make small ball mistakes as long as the big stuff is being tackled. that's what businesses do each and every day, but if business isn't your context, I do see why you might have trouble.

OMG, so beautifully stated. Like all businesses, you focus on your biggest problem first and immediately take action tweaking the details as you go along. Stop with the incessant minutiae talk! Trump is such a breath of fresh air in the cesspool of D.C. Michael, please learn something here from Jeanne. Please, this is normal. This is what Americans do every damn day. We don't riot, spew filth, lie constantly, are corrupt or talk incessantly. We serve others with our work and talent. I literally did not think Trump was like me but the last 2 weeks have proven me wrong. I had bought into SOME of the lies of the Left!! But I'm ecstaticly happy about being wrong! Trump loves this country. He loves work. He loves and respects the little guy first.
Thank you so very much, Jeanne.

Well said, Jeanne, the drumbeat of sore losers is indeed getting old fast. We have to give our new president some time to govern, to see the unfolding effects of his ideas and changes before we can even begin to decide their impact on our lives. So far, the stock market loves the promise and potential of less regulation, lower regulations Etc. My 401-K is glowing! We've never seen government run like a business; like you so aptly said, we might just like it.

Once again Micheal is turning to his RINO play book, how about you just get out of the way and let the new President do his job.its not status quo anymore, we don't need to continue on the same path that it looks like you want that has not helped in any way.
So my advice to you is just sit down and be quiet unless there is anything positive to say about Mr Trump we don't want anymore fake GOP

I am not a scholar, but was greatly encouraged by the "American Miracle". This was a qu.ick read and very enlightening in reflecting on our wonderful heritage. Great Job and we need more of this type of reflection.

Nani… Do you think your hero, Hilary, would have nominated someone like Neil Gorsuch, or anyone of his caliber?
