Who Would Celebrate a “Royal Abortion”?

Moral equivalence is an article of faith for activists of the secular left, with their insistence that a baby is no better than an abortion, or that traditional marriage is no more consequential than a same sex union.

Fortunately, the worldwide euphoria over Britain’s “Royal Baby” powerfully undermines such claims. Would anyone think to celebrate a “royal abortion”? Or would any same sex union of future royals produce the same powerful emotions as the wedding of Will and Kate? The royal family’s life cycle events touch us deeply because they seem timeless and natural, connecting the present to both past and future.

All people would love to share some of the blessings of her Majesty, the Queen – living to see a great-grandson that’s her own flesh and blood, ready to carry on family traditions.

There is something instinctive about celebrating the sight of a smiling young family, especially when alternative images portray violence, catastrophes, and sinister goings on.
News of a royal abortion or same-sex wedding would not evoke the same response, it would just be considered a thought-provoking story.
No matter how cliche, a classic fairy tale of royal courtship, wedding, baby, and happily ever after, is going to get positive attention.

The birth of every baby is an exciting, blessed event, as is the adoption of every child into a loving home. William and Kate portray the image of a clean cut, happy, well, adjusted couple beginning a beautiful family. Let’s pray that they stay that way and avoid the scandalous behavior of some of the other Royal Family. If I were in Great Britian, I am sure I would be one of those lining the streets to welcome this new bably.

I’m very conservative and agree with Michael Medved about almost everything, but where does he get the idea that liberals think “a baby is no better than an abortion”?

Perhaps any lucid observer would see the rabid liberal (democrartic) support for abortion in our society…every election cycle..media obsesses that pro abortion is vital for a candidate. Opposing abortion for any reason is to be shouted down and abhorred. This President should look at his own kids as a blessing to be treasured…what if Michelle had insisted on abortions at any term in the pregnancy?

Could you not say the same thing for the other side with regarding to shouting down a candidate? I’ve seen those on the other side now eliminate the consideration of the life of the mother being saved via aborting a fetus.

Did anyone even once hear the royal baby referred to as a “fetus”?

      Excellent point!

You wouldn’t want the royal couple “burdened with a baby.” It might hamper their freedom to travel and endulge themselves like the Left.

I dont think anyone would “celebrate” a royal abortion.but I do believe the world would be
better off if this whole “Royal” experience would slip into history. Basically what the institution
is….is society kissing the keister of extremely wealthy families and passing the stupidity on
to the next generation. Americans who marvel at the experiences of the “royals” make me
gag….what was the American Revolution about? largely a rejection of this destructive system
that the “Royal lovers” are celebrating. The Britsh Monarchs should do their son a favor and
celebrate his arrival which, of course, is celebratable….but they should end the travisty of
    their outdated institutionl.

I email O’reilly at the time for they were all undone by the baby-watch Never say the light of day.

“It’s better to be obsessed with “Baby Watch” than Baby-Bort. Let’s celebrate life!”
