Why Obama Hides Good News on Guns

email Email
Rates of violent crime continued their long decline

The president’s passion for gun control leaves him oddly unwilling to claim credit for one of the few signs of progress during his first term. After four years of Obama, poverty and food stamps are up, middle class incomes are down, while debt and deficits soared to record levels.

Rates of violent crime, however, continued their long decline, reduced by 13 percent since the last year of President Bush. In the last 20 years, the murder rate has been cut in half, but President Obama won’t acknowledge this good news because it undermines his efforts to alarm the public about a non-existent surge in gun violence, justifying meddlesome restrictions on law-abiding firearms owners.

It’s understandable that the president ignores the bad news from his first term, but it’s outrageous that he won’t acknowledge the dramatic successes in stopping crime.

Obama has really helped the economy by way of gun control talk. The gun mfgs are doing great, sales up 100%. Very few guns available in stores because people are arming themselves faster than ever. Very little ammunition available and popular calibers are sold out.
Obama has created the largest Veteran Army in the world. ha ha

In Chicago where there were 500+ murders in 2012, I absolutely never hear any debate over
how many of these shootings involved gang members and drug related turf wars, and that almost all of these shootings involved the same old punks over and over with long criminal histories, criminals that have been in and out before may times, but were never locked-up long enough and released all too early, committing more violent crimes after release. This would certainly help curb gun crime and stop attacking the law-abiding gun owners. Lock-up gang offenders longer. I believe this is true in most major cities. Address the Gangs and Drug dealers, and shootings will drop significantly. This just doesn’t seem to be happening in the major cities. The Crime is the Gangs and Drugs, most people should have the right to own a firearm except the mentally ill.

I think one simple provision would solve alot ot the Gun control and related safety in schools issue.
There has been talk of arming teachers and increased security guards who are armed…etc. A
simple solution would be to empower, license, request, allow….or whatever enacting element is
necessary personell in school who are military veterans to carry guns while working at the school.
These people are already trained in gun safety and usage…..the possibility of a shooter runing into
one of these ex-soldier teachers would be a deterrent in the minds of these wackos and as an
extra benefit veterans could be recuited to become teachers with this additional function. Win-win-win……why recreate the wheel…just use the one that is available.

As long as phony ID is available, as long as straw puchasers are available, as long as guns can be smuggled across borders, as long as people know how to build their own guns, criminals will have guns.

End Gun Free Zones. Require all males without religious objection to carry concealed using the militia section of the Constitution.

Everyone keep in mind that the numbers this community organizer quotes will be inflated to his measures of creative license and will include suicides, the BIGGEST portion of the real numbers quoted in “gun violence.”
Psycos will gravitate to “gun free zones” until we populate them with protection.
GOOD gun stories are out there, let’s get LOUD about them!!

Also, let’s keep loud about the REAL issue of debt limits, and our ECONOMY!!!!
Repeat your stance, repeat real numbers, repeat good information, repeat Obama’s failures, it will keep you busy!!!
