Come Hear Nationally Syndicated Radio Host and Movie Critic Michael Medved at Temple Emanu-El!

Israel is one of the most dynamic countries in the world in terms of history, culture and technological innovation. Israelis also maintain a vibrant democracy even while surrounded on all sides by terrorism and civil war. Unfortunately, Israel is also increasingly being attacked by those who seek to demonize and delegitimize the nation-state of the Jewish People. Radio personality Michael Medved, heard locally 10am-1pm every weekday on AM 690 in Honolulu and 200 other stations, has led trips to Israel and his brother Jonathan has been a prominent business leader in Jerusalem for 20 years . Michael will share his insights about Israel and its place in the world. In order to combat lies about the Jewish State we need to know the truth about Israel and her implacable enemies in every corner of the globe. In particular he will provide a critique of the anti-Israel boycott and divestment movement that is trying to gain a foothold here in Hawaii. Mr. Medved is also a well-respected movie reviewer, former chief film critic for the the New York Post, who will comment on this year’s tremendous lineup of films to be shown at the 12th Annual Temple Emanu-El Kirk Cashmere Jewish Film Festival which runs from March 1-14 at the Honolulu Museum of Art’s Doris Duke Theatre.
