You spoke with Sarah Palin on your show today. Afterwards a man called in and you allowed him to rant in a “male chauvinist ad hominem fashion; then you agreed with him too much instead of hanging up or requiring him to courteously provide a reason for disagreement. I challenge you to listen to that clip again and imagine how you would react if one of your friends let someone talk about you on public radio and in the same way.

    • Keenan Mahaffey  •  Jul 30, 2014 at 5:01 pm

Palin is a fool and deserves to be called out as such at every opportunity. No one would talk about Mr. Medved that way because he is not a fool.

So because your son and his friends will hate you, if you scold him for wrong doing, then you dont scold him.

Michael, I have been a huge fan for many years, and agreed with probably over 90% of what you stand for. UNTIL hussein obama came along. You then became so concerned with not appearing racist and insisted on giving him a chance. You name called anyone who disagreed with you about him, especially any one who believed he is not an American citizen. This interview with Governor Palin, you were way off again. Just because you are afraid of your perceived damage an impeachment process MIGHT do to us conservatives, you are pushy about thinking you are the only one who is right. Sorry, Michael, you have been wrong about hussein obama and you continue to be. I completely agree with Governor Palin.

Michael, you boiled it down to a false equivalency, much like a liberal would do.#1 You have somehow equated the tawdry oral sex scandal of Slick Willie, with the willful destruction of this country through a litany of High Crimes and Misdemeanors (do I have to list them?). If they are equivalent, then you win, but they’re not and you instead you lose. #2 you don’t seem to want to give us poor dopes in flyover country credit for being smart enough to make the distinction between the two cases. You think you’re ahead and that she’s bringing up the rear, but in fact Michael, she about to lap you. She’s a REAL smart lady Mike. Take it to the bank.

According to the US Constitution there are only two ways for the people to legally punish a sitting US President, de-funding and impeachment.

Mitch McConnell could have taken away the Obamacare money, but he chose to surrender. So if de-funding is out then what is left? Besides, we could force him to resign, which would be almost as good. Nixon resigned rather than face a trial…

    John Boehner is a WUSS.

Impeachment is still too lenient for POS ‘Walking DEBT’ Obama.
He should be in jail for TREASON just for that prisoner
exchange. He helped and replenished ENEMIES of the U.S.
by prisoner trading/exchanging 5 high ranking
    Taliban/Al Qaeda terrorists for a
    DESERTER/TRAITOR Bowe Bergdahl.
    It is a RAW deal.

POS ‘Walking DEBT’ Obama and democrats/liberals use and hide
behind those ILLEGAL immigrant children for their political
benefits. They don’t give a CRAP about those children.

This reminds me of the communist countries (China, Russia,
North Korea, Cuba, … etc.) using children for their political
    propagandas. But I digress.

If those ILLEGAL immigrants would come to America and vote for
Republicans, POS ‘Walking DEBT’ Obama and democrats/liberals
would have built not only a simple barb wire fence, but also
10 “Great Wall of China” between U.S. and Mexico border.

Article 2, Section 4 of The U.S. Constitution:

The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the
United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for,
and Conviction of, Teason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and

    High Crimes and Misdemeanors

The generally accepted viewpoint is much broader. It defines high
crimes and misdemeanors as any serious abuse of power—including
both legal and illegal activities. Supporters of this reading
believe that because impeachment is a public inquiry, first and
fore-most, it is appropriate to read the phrase broadly in order
to provide the most thorough inquiry possible. Thus, a civil
officer may face impeachment for misconduct, violations of oath
of office, serious incompetence, or, in the case of judges,
activities that undermine public confidence or damage the
    integrity of the judiciary.

So let me get this straight.

If you look at Sarah Palin as anything other than a symptom of what is wrong with this country then you are part of the problem. Palin represents a superficial, substance-free type of politician that inexplicably has become the new normal for how we do business. All steak and no sizzle. Any cursory examination of her accomplishments and public statements backs this up. That is what Michael Medved was driving at during the interview. There aren’t even impeachable offenses to speak of and therefore is ZERO chance of impeachment, ZERO. Any declaration otherwise is willful ignorance or blatant stupidity.

Sarah Palin, objectively, is not an intelligent person. I was enamored with her when she first broke on to the scene, but sadly my hopes were dashed. If you have listened to that women talk over the past 6 years and you are not turned off then I would question your ability to judge the qualities of any person, let alone our politicians.

“Loving God” is literally the least important quality we need from someone in politics. Reason, idealism, practicality, moderation and judgment are considerably more important. Unfortunately nothing in your uninformed and heavily toxic comments even hints at a requirement of demonstrated intelligence. You honestly sounds so delusional I can’t tell if you are 90 years old and losing your mind or just plain crazy. Either way I’m shocked that you can listen to someone as intelligent as Michael Medved.

      • carolhaka  •  Jul 30, 2014 at 6:15 pm

Read it and tell us who the uninformed jerk is! It is all spelled out there for the intellectually lazy or those that just bald face lie!

      • carolhaka  •  Jul 30, 2014 at 6:21 pm

And plenty of people out of Harvarddddd have said his offenses are impeachable. Get informed.

You are also a ageist, sexist, and every other word I can think of that describes your hateful attitude.

      • Keenan Mahaffey  •  Jul 30, 2014 at 6:46 pm

You cite conservatives4Palin as your source of her intelligence? If someone called me a fool and I sent you a website titled http://www.biggestfanseverofKeenan.html would you waste your time reading it?

Palin is certainly a compelling figure, and being elected governor in the least populated state in the nation I suppose is some kind of accomplishment. But forgive me, you responded to all my points with the same silly website that basically is a summary of what a governor does. No one so far as I can tell had any problem with Palin when she was the governor of Alaska, because no one cared about a state with less people than the greater Seattle area.

If pointing out that old withered ninnies like you live in a completely different reality than everyone else is being ageist, then yes, I am. If calling a woman who has demonstrated time and again she has no substance (remember that gotcha question about what newspapers she reads?) a fool is sexist, then yes, I am.

Would you mind explaining how my attitude is hateful? All I abhor is the idea that Sarah Palin has anything to offer to the electorate other than tired cliches about freedom and an American history, of which she has very little knowledge. I may be a jerk, but I’m an informed jerk who knows when he’s wrong and isn’t afraid to admit it. Just face it, the world has passed you and people who think like you by. You can post all the conservatives4Palin websites you want. Doesn’t change the reality.

After Osama Bin-Laden’s death, ‘DEBT man walking’ Obama,
Hillary ‘Benghazi’ Clinton, Joe ‘plagiarist/THIEF’ Biden,
JACKASS donkey democrats/liberals were quick to take credits.
The day after Benghazi’s attack on 09/11/12 right before the
election, ‘Walking DEBT’ Obama went to Las Vegas for
FUNDRAISING. WTF were Obama/Clinton doing during the 8 HOURS
firefight at Benghazi? WTF were there NO rescue teams? WTF did
Obama/Clinton ABANDON 4 DEAD Americans (U.S. Ambassador Chris
Stevens and 3 other CIA and Navy SEALs)? WTF did Clinton
apologize to the Muslim world on Pakistan TV? WTF did
    Obama/Clinton blame on some non-existing anti-Muslim
video, not terrorists, for the Benghazi attack? WTF are
Obama/Clinton not bragging about Benghazi? What’s the
matter? Are they AFRAID of the TRUTH?

These people are NOT leaders. They are LIARS and COWARDS.

America, is this the ‘hope/change’ you can believe in?

  9. qt db7  •  Jul 29, 2014 at 4:08 am

RINOs keep saying “impeaching POS ‘Walking DEBT’ Obama” would help
POS ‘Walking DEBT’ Obama. RINOs keep bringing up
PERVERTED Clinton’s impeachment as example. RINOs keep saying the
failure to impeach PERVERTED Clinton made JACKA55 (donkey)
    democrats/liberals more popular.

So let me get this straight.
If PERVERTED Clinton and JACKA55 (donkey) democrats/liberals
became popular, then why did American people vote to elect
REPUBLICAN George W. Bush in 2000?

  10. Mai Duong  •  Jul 29, 2014 at 8:45 am

Michael Medved, how stupid one must be to compared Bill Clinton’s lies on sex scandal vs. Obama’s lies on the lives of American citizens! I am a naturalized citizen and I am abhorred to see how people in this free country think and act and TRY TO tell us to think and act.

You have been very dismissive of Palin. I know that, but I still listen to you. Let’s hope you hear her words again and again and change your attitude. It sucks!

  11. Jim Houser  •  Jul 29, 2014 at 10:05 am

Your show yesterday seemed to present a Hobson’s choice: either Impeaching Obama now is right, or Impeaching him is wrong.

I think another alternative is worth considering. With you, i believe beginning Impeachment proceedings against Obama now (before the 2014 elections) would be counter-productive. But assuming the Republicans (who I am losing faith in big time) wind both houses of Congress, and better yet win them in commanding numbers, then Impeaching the President should be high on the agenda for the reasons Governor Palin brought up: his lawlessness needs to be stopped in order to protect the United States. He needs to be punished, and his punishment and removal from office is necessary to show future Presidents who might harbor similar lawless proclivities that “crime does not pay.”

Obama is arguably a hater of America (else why engage in trying to fundamentally transform it?). He does need to be removed, in disgrace (and the hell with the nonsense about his being the first Black President …. Black has nothing to do with it. His lawless and destructive actions are what his Impeachment is all about). I’m sure you know the old saying “Speak softly, but carry a big stick). Before the 2014 election we should speak softly about Impeaching this man, clearly the worst and most damaging President in American history. But after the election Congress must come out carrying the big stick, and this bad president must be removed from office. Let the American people hear the case against him, for he really is too dangerous, and too hellbent on damaging America, to be allowed to stay in office.

    • Keenan  •  Jul 29, 2014 at 12:42 pm

Jim, if you don’t think America needs to be fundamentally transformed than you have missed the last 30 years of “evolution”. America after WWII was a beacon of hope in the world but that has changed. Things don’t just stay that way because your generation thinks it should. We actually have to do the hard work to address the modern challenges we face. I mean honestly, if you are saying that Obama wants to ruin America you should just stay indoors and remove yourself from the debate. Your comments aren’t informed, helpful, useful, realistic, objective, or logical. You have ZERO solutions to offer and are just whining like a ninny.

Now I’m sure you’ll say I’m some smug liberal but you really should take an honest inventory of yourself and your motivations. Saying this President is a criminal and should be impeached is so beyond the realm of reasoned thinking it scares me to death knowing that you are allowed to vote.

  12. exb  •  Jul 29, 2014 at 2:30 pm

As a liberal Democrat I would love to see the Republicans try and impeach President Obama. Not because I think President Obama has done anything remotely impeachable but because it would harm the Republicans far more than the President. It would make them look even more extreme and unreasonable to many independent and moderate Republicans. Please following Ms Palin’s sage advice and jump off the impeachment cliff. Impeaching President Obama ranks right up there with birtherism and Ms Palin’s Death Panels.
If you don’t like President Obama’s policies how about trying to win an national election?

  13. hope4palins  •  Jul 29, 2014 at 10:35 pm

    Dear Mr. Medved:

I wanted to write and thank you for your interview with Gov. Palin. This is only the second time in the past six years that I have heard someone engage her on an issue rather than personally attacking her, and I very much appreciated the respectful and intelligent conversation between the two of you.

I probably come down in between your two positions. I agree with Gov. Palin that the President should be impeached for the reasons that she has mentioned at the very least; I also agree with the reality that it is very unlikely that the Senate will convict him unless the House were to do a very thorough job of laying out what seems to me to be an obvious case for removal. I also concede the point that doing this before the November elections might increase Democratic turnout. I have followed Gov. Palin since September of ’08 and I believe that she is doing this now because it is the “Right Thing To Do”; if not President Obama, then no President is going to meet the standard; if not now, then when? I also believe that she is calling for it now because someone has to lay the groundwork, and no one else of her political clout is willing to do so. She is by inclination a Leader, and that is what she is doing now. I don’t think she cares a fig about any potential cost to her. She is engaged in a Cause, and part of that Cause is holding public officials accountable for their acts. She was the same way in AK both prior to and during her Governorship. She has been prescient on many issues over the past six years (Quantitative Easement, the strategic deployment of defenses in Alaska, energy policy, just to name three) and so I wouldn’t be surprised if at this juncture she is simply far ahead of the political curve once again. We’ll see. In any case, I admire her political courage in doing what she thinks is right and standing by it; again just as she did in Alaskan politics.

Thank you again for having her on your show to discuss this important issue, and for your respectful and gentlemanly conversation with her on a topic of mutual disagreement.

    • Keenan Mahaffey  •  Jul 30, 2014 at 4:57 pm

Are you kidding? Just as she did in Alaskan politics? You mean the same Alaskan politics she quit halfway through her term because she caught a whiff of what it was like to be famous?

My lord it is just astounding how much truth you have to ignore to actually believe any of the garbage you wrote above.

Here’s the problem with people like you. When someone calls Palin an idiot you think they’re doing it because they have some axe to grind. The reality is though, she IS an idiot. Just listen to her. She couldn’t even articulate why Obama should be impeached. No part of you is even concerned with the merit of her accusations, you just don’t like hearing negative things. If I’m wrong, please articulate or provide quotes of particularly insightful comments/decisions she’s made. I have looked before and couldn’t find one.

I worry about this country because of people like you, honestly. You are too delusional to see what is right in front of your face. Michael Medved could barely contain his disapproval of her silly notion because he’s EDUCATED. He’s a critical thinker. He sees what people who think in the manner you do cannot see, reality.

      • carolhaka  •  Jul 30, 2014 at 6:17 pm

Read it without quitting. You know Sarah Palin left office after Obama’s henchmen went after her and her family. Stop lying.

      • Keenan Mahaffey  •  Jul 30, 2014 at 6:50 pm

Yes, it’s obvious to anyone Palin left her job as Governor mid-term because of Obama’s henchmen chasing her out???

Do you even listen to yourself? She quit her job, Old Maid. No one forced her out. Does Obama hide under your bed and scare your great-grand children too? Jesus, you see that guy everywhere.

      • carolhaka  •  Jul 30, 2014 at 6:53 pm

Since I could not reply above, I will challenge you here. I said the facts about her accomplishments as the most powerful Governor position in all of the 50 states. She also took down the cronies in the Republican and Democrat parties in her state. She beat the most powerful Oil lobby in the world. ETC.

But, you already know that or you are too stupid to read. I’m not an old ninnie per your insult. But, I am sure my older Mother could take you in a lit alley!

      • Keenan Mahaffey  •  Jul 30, 2014 at 6:59 pm

Can you please post that conservatives4Palin link again? Some really interesting stuff in their about, uh, doing her job. At least for 2 years anyway.

Can’t stress enough that Alaska has 700,000 residents, so honestly, I think you could be the governor of that state.

      • Keenan Mahaffey  •  Jul 30, 2014 at 7:07 pm

You may not be an old ninnie, but your logic would reflect otherwise. You cannot possibly believe that the most powerful governorship in the country resides in Alaska.

Look, here’s the truth. Palin was very compelling when she first came on the scene. Beautiful woman who had some serious charisma at the Republican convention. My point is that at every opportunity after we were first introduced to her, she has fallen flat on her face. If you don’t see that her being chosen as running mate was the reason John McCain lost then you must be in denial.

I don’t hate her, but I do hate what she represents. A person who is not very knowledgeable pretending to be so, and convincing people who are less knowledgeable of very dangerous ideas in the process. I have nothing against her accept that she is vapid.

  14. James  •  Aug 2, 2014 at 12:28 pm

If impeachment is seen to be serving a political agenda, then it is very unlikely to pass muster. The American people would have to be overwhelmingly convinced that the President is doing irreparable harm to the nation. He might be coming close in one or two areas, particularly in foreign affairs as relates to combatting Islamism. But Sarah Palin does make a good point that highlighting any presidential misconduct with respect to the laws could help the Republicans as well as the nation, but this would have to be done judiciously.

  15. Chris  •  Nov 5, 2014 at 12:37 pm

This is an insane conversation. You CANNOT IMPEACH THE PRESIDENT! (and yes he is the president, whether you like him or not). Please get out of your bubble and listen to reason, its not politically possible, it would also be a nightmare as I can name at least three cities that are guaranteed to riot, not to mention the racial implications of impeaching the first African American President, you think minorities are disillusioned now wait till a stunt like that gets pulled. Now that conservatives have one an election they need to prove that they can accomplish positive change, realistic change that helps the middle class. You can begin by the Keystone pipeline, coming up with a reasonable compromise for raising the minimum wage and correcting the horrendous budget cuts to the military. I’m not saying tragedies like Benghazi, the VA and IRS scandals shouldn’t be investigated and communicated to the public, but for the love of God and the sake of the country please pull your heads out of your fourth point of contact and set attainable goals that can educate, lead and not further fracture an already divided country.

  16. MOHAMADOU  •  Nov 24, 2014 at 10:51 pm

Now I understand why she doesn’t want to run. She makes no sense and will be crushed in the primaries.
