You didn’t like Jamie Foxx as Electro? I thought it was his best show ever.

Foxx as Electro, Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May, they all seemed like their genuine real life selves.

When actors don’t act but just play themselves the audience always sees their best work.

Their real life presence was in stark contrast to the hysterically portrayed and dream like false reality of the plot and “Matrix “like” setting.

If the story had a problem for me it was that there were too many villains each of whom were also victims of their own stupidity.

And also that Super Heroes in movies never fight anyone who is actually evil. Captain American in his first movie being the only exception.

How about a movie based upon real life where Rand Paul or someone just like him defeats the Marijuana Marxists who have seized control over the US government, gains a Super Majority in Congress and puts them all into prison for their legion of crimes against the American People?

I’d joyfully pay $$$ to see that.

I often agree with you on movies, though I’m a little more forgiving if I’m entertained. I actually agree with most of your review on this one too. Though what I think you failed to mention (which is the only reason worth seeing this movie) is the acting. Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are electric. Their chemistry is apparent and you truly feel every emotion throughout the whole 2.5 hours. Sally Field was one of the best supporting characters in comic book movie history.

Mark Webb screwed up the story and the dark plot twist was inevitable, though it could have waited until 3/4 of the way through the final film of the Amazing series. They have a lot of redeeming to do starting with the plot. But at least let the viewers know of the star acting you’ll see.
