Sorry you didn’t like it. This was a difficult book to translate to a movie. When the library of congress lists it as the second most influential book written the bar is very high. My wife has not read the book and enjoyed this movie the most of all three. The goal of the producers was to encourage more people to read the book. They may have accomplished this. I recommend see it for yourself. Think and decide for yourself.

Agree with review completely. On the plus side, I found a movie pass on the sidewalk out front on my way in. On the negative side those are 97 minutes of my life I won’t get back.

I discovered Atlas Shrugged in 1969, and quit my good corporate job a couple of years later the day after Nixon froze wages and prices – telling my boss that I could not work in a job where I had to beg a government official for a raise. One of the best decisions in my life – and I have worked for myself ever since.
As for the movies – all 3 – I took them with a grain of salt, but enjoyed the effort – always wondering if someone not familiar with the story understood what was going on.
Movie one and two actually get better watching them again on disc or streaming.
Movie #3’s problem was that there was no solution for anyone that was not part of the “Group.”
The love scene in the tunnel office actually took place right on the tracks in the novel.
The torture scene went over the edge – especially the machine. Looked like a 1950’s sci-fi movie. Unfortunately, I’ll remember that foolish scene more than the rest of the movie.
The question is never brought up – what do we, the normal folk do, now that we at that economic/social point at the end of her important novel?

Michael: I am very disappointed in your review. I know you are not a pawn of Hollyweird. I listened to your show always in Amarillo TX until they unexpectedly dropped it. You are the most intelligent of the conservative commentators, but you are DEAD WRONG ABOUT ATLAS SHRUGGED 3 WHO IS JOHN GALT.

The MESSAGE of this movie was CENSORED, Michael, by Hollyweird. That is Important.

Please reconsider your gravely mistaken review. This is important.
