Sorry to disagree but……….I thought it was awful. Even if you lay aside the Biblical inaccuracies (as I was able to do in Noah, and thought that was very good), this movie was just…..forgettable. Bale was good but good grief, Joshua (Pinkman) seemed like a deaf mute (directors fault?), in fact no one seemed to have any lines but Moses and Pharoah , and during the scary scenes the cuts to the exaggerated facial expressions were comical. The special effects were special especially the night of the angel of death killing all the Egyptian kids, but the rest of the movie was boring and just awful. Sorry.

One word, Stunning. Stunning visuals undercut by a stunningly dull, stunningly amateurish script. Example, in discussing Hebrew bondage, a somnolent Ramses postulated that the economics of slavery benefited the Jews. (He actually used the word, economics.) This material borders on the Monty Pythonesque. Or in the spirit of the upcoming release of “Big Eyes,” let’s just say this movie is pure Keane. No, greater than Keane, it’s Cugat.

      ” . . . pure Keane. No, greater than Keane, it’s Cugat.”

I love your comments. And Woody Allen would too. ROFL

A total piece of garbage. Nowhere near biblically accaurate. I can’t believe that someone with Medved’s religious background would give this movie more than one star.

Take Michael’s review and apply the most important criteria, the telling of Exodus. The movie gets a ‘F” in that category. 0-1/2 Stars. Hollywood bashing Christians, worse Jews and God.
