I loved this movie. I had no idea of the suffering in Sudan. It makes me ashamed when I think about my occupation with my home and children, while I am oblivious to the plight of the Sudanese. As I was watching, I realized how beautiful their faces were to me. These men are my brothers. I wish I could thank them for the change they’ve made in my thinking and tell them that I love them. Their contribution has made me aware of a very unhappy reality. I can only imagine how painful making this film was for them. God bless them!

      Dear Linda,
The former Lost Boys who made it to America still can use more American friends. Some of them have adapted reasonably well, others not so much. But very few of them have enough American friends to spend time with, to assimilate more into our culture and lifestyle. Granted, their free time is very limited, as many of them work two jobs. I’ve befriended some in the Denver area, and found it very rewarding – unquestionably I get more out of those friendships than I put in. They are so inspiring to be with. can put you in touch with them, if you are in an area where there is a community or a few South Sudanese.

This film did not come into Sacramento, CA . until second month of release, November. Finally I found it, in only 2 theaters! Because the story content shows evidence of biblical, faith based events, I think it’s likely limited distribution was influenced by liberal bias.
This film affirms humanity, cultures, and depth of caring we all strive to pass along to our families and communities.
You may have to look for it on Net flicks, well worth viewing.

This film is a hidden gem. I was skeptical when I first heard of the movie, but then I saw it and I loved it. It’s a film that will have you captured from beginning to end. You’ll fall in love with the characters, it’s guaranteed.
