I am in full agreement with you, Michael, this movie should definitely have an "R" rating and I too think it deserves an Academy award and will probably get one!

I really don't think so. The Glass Castle won't get any Oscar considerations even though it got a 50% from Rotten Tomatoes and I know that some people enjoy it while others were very disappointed. Brie Larson gives a lackluster performance but I was blown away by Woody Harrelson's performance and I don't think he should get an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Glass Castle has a similar concept of Captain Fantastic which came out last year starring Viggo Mortensen which earned a Best Actor Oscar nomination.

The Glass Castle got very mixed reviews but I really don't see the movie not worthy enough for awards considerations.
