Beyond (or before) any consideration of the entertainment value of a movie about Stephen Hawking’s romance with his first wife including their struggle to overcome his disability is a stark reality:

All of Hawking’s theories about the nature of the Universe have already been scientifically disproven.

Furthermore Hawking’s assertion that God did not create the Universe is simply that Hawking hates God.

He still insists when asked the the Universe spontaneous sprang into existence from nothing.

Hawking’s hatred for God blinds him to the simple Laws of Thermodynamics which have never been disproven that energy including matter can never be created or destroyed. Only changed form.

So with all this to un-recommend this movie, including Michael’s mostly negative review have fun watching it if you can.

I didn’t pay attention to the marketing aspects of the movie. The acting was superlative. Reminded me somewhat of Daniel Day Lewis and ‘My Left Foot’.
