I applaud the courage and convictions of the student body at this school and schools around the world who rise up and speak the truth. I always thought the BDS movement stands in direct conflict with one of the reasons people go to school. Education should be an exercise to increase understanding and inclusion so we can debunk bigotry and violence. But, all too often what we see is college campuses have deteriorated into hotbeds of prejudice, slander, and hatred. I have also lost a great deal of respect for schools who not only don’t do things to stop such injustice, many times they are instigators and the lynchpin for these anti Israel and anti Semitic events. For those of us who support Israel, it’s incumbent to never stop fighting for our just cause. We only lose this battle when we give up.
